Brand Putters

We are delighted to report that our Brand Putter team have won the league following victory in their final match away to Cathcart Castle.  Going in to the final week destiny was in the hands of Fereneze who travelled away to Pollok needing a win to seal the title. However, they found a strong Pollok team who beat them convincingly.  Bonnyton were the other team that could possibly stop us and they duly dropped points in a draw away to East Renfrewshire.

This meant that we just needed to win away to Cathcart Castle to clinch the title for the first time since 2015. A 5.5-2.5 victory was enough on the night to get the ‘Brand Putter’ back to Haggs for a record 15th time.

The team now play Kirkintilloch, the champions of the North Glasgow (Donald Cameron League) for The Boundary Bell.

Congratulations to all the players for their commitment and great golf this year.

A huge thanks to our sponsors Trump Developments, BPC Land, JBD tritec and Goldrose Construction.  Not only did we play the best, we looked the best on and off course and I think this helped the players belief.
